  • Since when has Tiffin been making travel trailers? According to their website, they produce only class A and class C motorhomes.

    • Thank you John for your supporting comment. We referred Tiffin as an RV manufacturer in general and did not go to types of RV specifically. Hope you enjoy reading our blog.

    • They make fifth wheels only the Beacon, Vilano, and Pinecrest and they are very nice but what else would you expect from Tiffin.

  • Thank you Carlos for sharing such useful piece of information. I am just wondering why Gulfstream is not among this list. It's quite popular as an travel trailer manufactures nut I have heard mixed reviews about the company. Would love to get some reliable reviews about this company, product quality and customer service from you?

    • It's undeniable that Gulfstream was one of the best travel trailer brands. Gulfstream has been into this business since 1983 and has established a devoted fan-following during these years. The brand was known for providing outstanding quality with innovative travel trailers and motorhomes. Due to some recent bad reports about quality and supporting service, Gulfstream is now however on the list of RV brands that first time buyers should not purchase. Leaking and rusting are common issues with Gulfstream's products.

  • What about Winnebago, Carlos? I am looking to buy my first travel trailer for RV camping. Some of my friends referred to this brand and obviously I do not have much experience about purchasing an RV. So I go for Winnebago?

    • I have a 2018 Winnebago MicroMinnie and am very impressed with its build quality and materials,
Not a single issue found and I'm a critical professional Quality engineer.

  • I am interested in hearing what you know about the 2018 Flagstaff E-Pro E19FD and the 2918 Rockwood Geo Pro 19FD. Thank you.

  • I AM INTRERESTED IN A 2017 OR 2018 YEAR MODELS NEW AND YES I HAVE SEEN 2017 NEW MODELS TRAVEL TRAILOR THAT HAS A GOOD REPUTATION OF BEING WELL BUILT IF A TWO BED ROOM IS POSIBLE GREAT WITH A WALK IN LARGE SHOWER IF POSSIBLE FOR A HANDICAP PERSON ALSO REQUEST ALL SPECIAL BELLS, LOTS OF SPACE TO HANG SHIRTS AND PANTS , 40 FT LONG OR LONGER IF THEIR ARE ANY NO LIGHT CARPETS AT ALL I LIKE THE VINO IN COLOR THAT I SAW ON LINE NEED CENTRAL VAC FULL SIZE REFER PREFER 3 DOOR , ALL ELECTRIC , WITH LOTS OF STORAGE , FIRE PLACE, LARG SCREEN TV IN LIVING ROOM MAYBE 60" ,AND IN BEDROOM AT LEASE 40 " IN MASTERWANT TO PAY $60 TO $^% THOUSAND OR THEIR ABOUT

  • Very informative. Thanks for all the insight. This will be very helpful as I'm looking to buy my first travel trailer.

  • Thanks you, Carlos for such a very comprehensive post reviewing about top rated travel trailer brands. Among these trailer manufacturers, I assume that Airstream is the best company which provide high-quality travel trailer models along with supportive service! The price is only thing that make you consider.

  • All the models owned by Thor, Keystone, Jayco, Dutchman, and Starcraft are pure junk. Who paid for this list. Type in all those models I listed and reviews after their names and you will find many unhappy owners.

  • Look at the poor reviews for Jayco, Keystone, Dutchman, all companies that were bought up by THOR, and you will see very low rated quality in their reviews, as Thor just bangs them out as fast as the can, without a good PDI process. Then you will notices Camping world then sells many of these lower rated products, and not the truly better RVs on the market.

    • Trying to dump our 2015 “THOR-KEYSTONE-MONTANA’ . WE CANNOT TAKE ONE TRIP WITHOUT SOMETHING HAPPENING! Last trip, black tank busted, this trip big slid pairs, thethe damn cable small br slide.. what a POS!

  • TrailManor is a great brand too.... tows and stores like a P-up and uses less gas than typical TT... but you get all the same amenities as the "big" guys IMO

  • We just bought a Keystone passport ultra lite. I was really impressed with the features for being so light weight.

  • We have an old (1998) Dutchmen Classic. We love it. Even after all these years, it's still solid. No leaks. Everything still works. Probably next year, we plan to upgrade to something newer and bigger, but only because my husband will retire and we will be spending a lot more time in the trailer, so something bigger would be ice. I will miss this one a LOT. We will definitely look at newer Dutchmen when we are ready for something different.

  • Our first one was a 1976 31 ft Airstream....that was 15 years old.... back then they were built to last...

  • Our 16 ft. Funrunner toy hauler its dinky on the outside but 4 grown adults (2 guys over 6ft. Tall and over 300lbs. Apiece and its still comfortable we love it just wish the bathroom was wude enough to not stand sideways when taking a leak. LOL

  • Rockwood Roo 235s. Solid Plywood floors, 6 sided aluminum construction, vacuum bonded sidewalls and roof, frameless windows, torsion flex axles, maxair vents and covers, WiFi extender, no staples in cabinets and benches, 60/30/30 gal water tanks, outside kitchen, fireplace, and 42 inch TV. Solid build with very nice features and upgrades standard. 25ft trailer towing but expands to 30ft with slide. It's a well built trailer. Highly recommend Rockwood.

  • Heartland North Trail .. good quality build, tons of storage .. had the floor plan that worked for us ! Have maintained myself and have had NO problems ..2017 model purchased in fall of 2016.

  • This will be our 3rd summer in a 2014 Keystone Cougar 30FKV. We are the 2nd owners and really love it. It's a v-nose with kitchen in front and bedroom in rear. For us mostly camping at State Parks with back in sites it puts the bed a little further away from the road.

  • 2017 Forest River Wildwood. Our first one and we love it! Two years of camping and no issues.

  • We have a 2018 sunset trail grand reserve, we love the out door kitchen with the bigger fridge, lots of storage, bigger fridge inside most are 6 ours are 8 cubic feet. Auto levers, also awning covers door to end of trailer

  • Keystone Cougar. Polar package and it sits up higher for rough roads. Really well built and tons of storage.

  • I have a 25 foot Forest River RV that I am extremely happy with. I looked at a Forest River 5th wheel first but decided that if I'm going to have something that big I want the engine in it instead of hauling it behind me. I have disabilities and it's much easier for me in an RV without all the hitch business etc. When I looked I checked out a lot of different brands and kept coming back to the Forest River because of several factors. While all RV's and campers are basically the same in the important areas there was a lot of quality built into Forest River. I've had questions I've had to call the factory on and have always received excellent customer service and a good answer for those questions. Good customer service goes a long way with me and the first thing that fires me up when I don't get it. No problems with these people so far.

  • We just got a new camper. We searched and took our time. We went with the Winnebeggo mini because the quality in the gel coated fiberglass, the frame and the interior was far superior to all other we looked at. We took it on a 10 day 2300 mile trip and I have to say I am happy with our decision.
It a 21 ft we got the 2106ds. There are I think 3 floor plans in the 2106. The msrp was 28 but we got It for 21. The 2017 models u can get a deal on now. Like I said for the difference in money I just liked the quality.

  • We have a 2000 26 footer Dutchman and love it. We bought it used, never had to do a thing to it. it's 4300 lbs. Best camper we ever had !! Now with it being 17 years old we want a new one. But Dutchman is a great name.

  • In my opinion, you cannot beat a Jayco product. The Amish are involved in the woodwork in Jayco campers. You can definitely tell the difference. In 2015 we purchased a Montana fifth wheel. If we had it to do over, it would be a Jayco fifth wheel. We have had lots of problems with our Montana. We won't buy another Keystone product. I'm sure there are a lot of people who love Keystone but not us.

  • Eclipse, one of the largest Manufacturers of trailers? REALLY? We have been shopping all over the south east for 2 years and have yet to see one or hear of one!

  • a great article all right...not a word about Doubletree, not a word about Luxe, not a word about New Horizon, not a word about Excel, not a word about Northwood Arctic Fox, not a word about KZ, not a word about......should I go on or are we due an apology from this pinhead named Carlos. I can't believe you were paid for this dribble.

  • After reading many Google reviews of Travel Trailer brands, and hearing so many horror stories about extremely poor quality, bad design, failures, laziness and unresponsiveness from most manufacturers we've decided to re-evaluate our plans to purchase a Travel Trailer. We'd spent a few hours the other day at a local dealer to check out some units and left unimpressed even with the top end costly trailers...flimsy, cheap and careless construction. It's disappointing that only Airstream seems capable of constructing a solid, dependable trailer.
